Freshly Launched: A New Website for BBQ, Brews & Blues Festival

Nothing pairs better with smoky BBQ and cold craft beer than a clean, mobile-friendly website—right? That’s what we just cooked up for the BBQ, Brews & Blues Festival in West Palm Beach, now live at bbqbrewsblues.com.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the festival, and it was the perfect time to give it a digital home that does justice to the flavor, music, and energy of the event. I teamed up with the excellent crew at Soundskilz (event production pros who know their stuff) to build a site that’s just as user-friendly as it is fun.
What Went Into the Build
This wasn’t just a quick brochure-style website. It was designed from the ground up to support the event’s growth and simplify the experience for attendees, vendors, and organizers alike. Some of the features baked into the build include:
✅ Mobile Responsiveness – Let’s be honest, most people are pulling up event details while they’re out and about. This site adjusts beautifully across phones, tablets, and desktops so everyone gets the full experience no matter the screen.
✅ Search Engine Optimization (SEO) – Built with proper heading structure, metadata, and clean URLs to help more folks find the festival through Google without needing a treasure map.
✅ Vendor & Brewery Applications – Simple, intuitive forms so vendors and breweries can apply to participate without needing a PDF or a fax machine (we’re keeping it 2025-friendly here).
✅ Content Flexibility – Easy backend structure for event organizers to update schedules, vendor lists, and announcements as the festival comes together. No calls to the developer required.
✅ Performance Optimized – Compressed images, caching, and speed-focused structure to make sure the site loads fast (even on spotty Wi-Fi at your cousin’s house).
Designed to Grow with the Festival
Like any good event, this site isn’t a one-and-done. It’s built to expand with future years, sponsors, and features, with the goal of making life easier not just for attendees, but also the people behind the scenes. The layout is modular, the CMS is intuitive, and updates can be made without needing to learn how to code.
It’s the kind of project I love—bringing all the pieces together (design, functionality, strategy) and creating something that works as good as it looks.
Final Thoughts
If you’re hosting a festival, planning a city event, or building out a new initiative, your website shouldn’t be an afterthought. It should be the engine that helps people find you, trust you, and engage with what you’re putting into the world.
This project was a great reminder that the right web setup doesn’t just support your event—it can elevate it.
