Winterfest in Wine Country Website Launch – Supporting a Live Holiday Event

By Published On: December 12th, 2025

The Winterfest in Wine Country website launched in late November, and the event is now in full swing at Galway Downs in Temecula Valley Wine Country. Running throughout the holiday season, Winterfest blends festive lights, ice skating, seasonal entertainment, and classic holiday moments into a multi-week experience designed to give people plenty of reasons to come back more than once.

I was brought on to design and build the Winterfest in Wine Country website and to continue supporting the event throughout the season with ongoing site management, social media, and a comprehensive digital marketing campaign. The event itself is produced by Soundskilz, with Fried Design collaborating on key some visual elements, including the event poster and supporting creative.

More Than a Single Night Out

One of the biggest challenges with seasonal events is helping people understand that there’s more happening than what they might see in a single photo or social post. Winterfest isn’t a one-night attraction — it’s a rolling holiday festival with different experiences woven throughout the season.

From ice skating and festive walk-throughs to Santa visits, special appearances, and rotating entertainment, the schedule changes depending on the night. That made it especially important for the website to clearly surface what’s happening when, so visitors can plan their visit around what matters most to them.

This idea — that event websites should do more than simply exist — is something I’ve written about before. In fact, it’s why I often say that event websites matter more than flyers or social posts. They’re the one place where everything comes together in a clear, structured way.

Designing for Atmosphere and Clarity

For Winterfest, the website needed to strike a careful balance. It had to feel festive and inviting, while still being practical and easy to navigate. A holiday event should feel warm and fun online, but it also has to answer real questions quickly — dates, times, tickets, schedules, and location.

The site leans into a seasonal look and feel that mirrors the on-site experience, while keeping the structure clean and intuitive. The goal was to set expectations before people ever arrive, so the website supports the experience rather than complicating it.

Built for a Live, Evolving Event

Because Winterfest runs across several weeks, the website isn’t something that gets launched and forgotten. Schedules shift, promotions roll out, and certain attractions or features need to be highlighted at different times throughout the season.

I’m providing ongoing website management during the event to make sure content stays accurate, performance remains strong, and visitors always see information that reflects what’s actually happening on-site. For live events, that behind-the-scenes consistency can make a meaningful difference in how smooth the experience feels for attendees.

A Coordinated Digital Marketing Effort

The website is just one piece of the larger picture. Winterfest in Wine Country is supported by a multi-channel digital marketing strategy designed to meet people at different stages of planning — whether they’re actively searching for holiday events or casually discovering ideas for a night out.

The campaign includes paid search, paid social, programmatic advertising, and digital video, all working together to build awareness and drive attendance throughout the season.

This approach reflects something I’ve covered more broadly in my guide to digital marketing, website development, and social media for event marketing: no single channel does all the work on its own, but when they’re aligned, they reinforce each other in powerful ways.

A Note on Website Care During High-Traffic Seasons

Seasonal events like Winterfest are also a good reminder of why ongoing website care matters. When traffic increases and information changes frequently, regular updates, security monitoring, backups, and performance checks help keep everything running smoothly.

That same mindset applies beyond events. As an official Google Partner, I spend a lot of time thinking about how websites, search visibility, and user experience intersect — especially when timing and accuracy matter.

Looking Ahead

Winterfest in Wine Country is happening now and continues throughout the holiday season, offering a rotating mix of skating, Santa visits, seasonal attractions, and festive experiences in Temecula Valley Wine Country.

It’s been rewarding to support a project like this from multiple angles — building the website, keeping it updated during the run of the event, and helping promote it through coordinated digital marketing. When all of those pieces are planned together, the digital side of an event can play a real role in bringing people together offline.
