How Local Businesses Can Win Leads from AI Search (ChatGPT, Google, and Beyond)

Search has changed more in the last two years than in the last twenty. Instead of typing “best web designer near me” into Google and scrolling through pages of results, people are increasingly asking AI assistants — ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, you name it — for direct recommendations. And here’s the kicker: these AIs don’t list ten blue links. They give one answer. If your business is the answer, that’s a potential client in your pocket. If you’re not, you’re invisible. […]

Access to clear, reliable legal information can make all the difference for someone facing a difficult situation. For decades, Riverside Legal Aid has been providing free legal services to low-income residents of Riverside County — but their website needed an update to match the quality of their work. In July, I launched a brand new site designed to make it easier for people to find help, learn about services, and get involved. You can see it here: riversidelegalaid.org About Riverside Legal Aid Riverside Legal Aid is a nonprofit organization dedicated to offering free legal assistance in civil matters to qualifying residents. Their team of volunteer attorneys and staff provide guidance on issues ranging from housing to family law to bankruptcy, helping people navigate the legal system when they need it most. What the New Site Needed to Do Their old site contained important information, but it wasn’t as easy to navigate — especially on mobile devices, which many clients rely on. Our main goals were to: Create a clear, [...]

Behind the Build: Launching the Cathedral City Hot Air Balloon Festival Website

By |2025-07-31T10:45:11-07:00July 31st, 2025|News, Successes, Websites|

There’s something inherently joyful about hot air balloons — the color, the spectacle, the sense that, just maybe, someone forgot to invent the steering wheel. So when I got the opportunity to help build the new website for the Cathedral City Hot Air Balloon Festival, I was all in. It’s not every day you get to work on something that involves giant floating art, tethered rides, live music, and local community pride — all in one project. […]

The 8th Annual Cathedral City LGBT Days brought color, laughter, unity, and celebration to the heart of the Coachella Valley this past March. From March 8–10, 2024, Cathedral City played host to a weekend filled with memorable moments—from high-energy performances and a comedy headliner to one of the quirkiest events in the desert: the Bed Race and Parade of Beds. As a local digital consultant and longtime supporter of inclusive events, I had the honor of partnering for the second year in a row with the incredible team at Soundskilz to help promote Cathedral City LGBT Days. And once again, it was a triumph—not just in attendance or engagement, but in impact and community connection. A Weekend That Celebrated Everyone Cathedral City LGBT Days is more than just a party—it’s a meaningful celebration of visibility, community, and resilience. As the first Pride event of the year in the Coachella Valley, it sets the tone for spring with vibrant energy and a strong message of inclusion. The weekend welcomed both [...]
